Small group, customized avalanche courses, ski mountaineering courses, and privately guided ski trips led by AIARE qualified instructors and AMGA certified instructors/guides.

Small Group Courses & Trips

We conduct all of our courses and trips as small group outings.  Our AIARE 1 course is conducted with a maximum of 6 students, our AIARE 2 course is conducted with a maximum of 4 students, and our ski mountaineering course is operated with just 3 students. We are the only provider in the region who offers courses and trips of this quality.  As a result, you get a customized learning environment, personalized coaching, and a truly exceptional experience. 

Industry Leading Program Design
Our programs are designed and overseen by leading avalanche education expert and AMGA Certified Ski Mountaineering Guide, Matt Wade.  Matt is an Instructor Trainer for the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) in which capacity he trains and mentors the next generation of avalanche instructors.  He has been teaching avalanche courses and guiding ski mountaineering trips for fifteen years and he has numerous first ski descents to his credit.  Matt's involvement at the forefront of the ski and avalanche industry ensures you will learn the most cutting-edge and proven techniques in the field.

Exclusively AIARE Qualified Instructors & AMGA Certified Instructors/Guides
All of our ski and avalanche staff are AIARE Qualified Instructors and AMGA Certified Instructors/Guides.  In addition, they hold AIARE Level 3 Avalanche Certification and have years of experience as outdoor professionals. These high credentials, coupled with our dedication to compassionate teaching and leadership, provides you with an exceptional ski and avalanche experience and an in-depth education.
